Delta battery backups are designed to provide uninterrupted power to submersible sump pumps during mains power failure. They automatically switch to battery power, ensuring continued operation of drainage systems and helping to prevent flooding. All units operate with 230 VAC single-phase supply and are compatible with Delta sump pumps and packaged pump stations. Two ranges: UPS units for shorter outages and higher-capacity Battery Backups for extended runtime.

System Design Guidance
Selection: Choose UPS units for typical short outages. Select Battery Backup standard versions for moderate risk and Plus variants for higher-risk or deeper habitable basements requiring longer autonomy.
Integration: Compatible with single or dual (duty/standby) pump systems. Includes volt-free contacts for remote monitoring and integration with high-level alarms.
Installation: Wall-mountable or floor-standing. Automatic mains detection and switchover. Maintenance-free lead-acid batteries with quick recharge.
Best Practice: BS 8102:2022 recommends backup power in occupied below-ground spaces alongside primary/secondary pumps and high-level alarms.
