Textile diffusers - also known as air socks, textile ventilation and fabric ducts - are manufactured bespoke to suit each application. Heating, cooling, and tempered fresh air, or a mixture of all three, can be provided.
Prihoda holds different types of duct material in stock, and each system is made to order. The most common materials are permeable and non-permeable. Supply air can pass through the permeable material at a known rate, so at below dew point, condensation does not form on the diffuser.
Fabric ducts may be any diameter from 150mm upwards, and any length that the system pressure will support can be produced, sometimes in excess of 100m. Sections of diffusers are normally 5m long and zip together.
The ducts come in a range of shapes from round, to half round and quarter round. Ellipse shapes are suitable for rooms with limited height.
The actual diffusers are generally small perforations or fabric nozzles that are laser-cut into the material or sonic welded to to it, in a specific diameter and arrangement to create a particular air distribution pattern.

Applications
Our air socks are designed and manufactured on a custom basis, thus almost any application is suitable for an air sock system. Ventilation systems particularly suited would include:
Food manufacturing facilities – low air velocity for chilled air, easy maintenance
Laboratories – make up air at low velocity for fume cupboards, easily cleanable
Large open architecture spaces – more cost-effective than traditional ducting, better air distribution
Retail premises – accurate air patterns, cost-effective, great branding and promotional opportunities with Prihoda Art
Sports halls – large flexible ducts good at distributing air evenly, even in badminton courts
Swimming pools – material unaffected by chlorinated environment (no need to protect), more cost-effective, opportunity to use Prihoda Art for branding and aesthetics
Any one off bespoke architectural space – always custom designed with a range of shapes, colours, printing options, suspension solutions, etc.
