The ELSOflow rectangular, copper hot water tank is the perfect like for like replacement for the original Elson hot water tanks. The tanks are available as either a traditional combination tank (providing gravity hot water) or as a thermal store unit (delivering mains pressure hot water).

McDonald Water Storage launched their ELSOflow rectangular tank in 2011 to provide direct replacements for the discontinued Elson rectangular water heater range.

As well as purchasing machinery from Elson, we also employed a number of key members of the Elson team, including the highly experienced, Production Engineer and Technical Sales Manager, who brought almost 25 years of experience and knowledge from Elson and their predecessor, Elsy and Gibbons. This enabled us to bring the core strengths of the Elson Water Heater and combine them with our technical expertise to offer a solution which can confidently claim to be an exact like for like replacement.

The ELSOflow hot water tank range has a selection of water heater cylinders that can be heated electrically, or indirectly by a gas or oil boiler, multifuel stove or log burner, solar thermal, heat pump, or a combination of these sources.

The rectangular tanks were originally designed as space saving solutions to fit snugly within tight spaces, such as airing cupboards and loft spaces.

To achieve the height required by the gravity fed system, the Elson water heaters were designed and supplied to be located on a shelf and therefore any changes to specification would compromise on capacity, space and ease of installation.
