Electrical heating specialist Ecolec has launched a pioneering new heating system based on the requirement for space-saving, electrical low surface temperature panel radiators.

The requirement involved a need for a wireless controlled heating system that allowed individual room temperature to be controlled and for a maximum of 55ºC surface temperature of the panels to be achieved.

The result is the Safe to Touch system, which has been installed and proven to work whilst still allowing individual control of each of the rooms. The system is ideal for use in nurseries, schools, rest and care homes, healthcare buildings, commercial premises and public areas as well as private homes.

In addition, Safe to Touch is also a cost-effective, high efficiency alternative to a wet heating system extension when buildings are refurbished.

As well as Ecolec's slimline radiant panel heaters, the system uses the WCT 500/TX wireless 7-day programmable thermostat that gives high precision room temperature control with up to six temperature settings per day for as many radiators or heaters as is needed, within a 30m range.
