Hargreaves is part of the global high-tech engineering and construction firm M+W Group, a company owned by the Austrian Stumpf Group. It has over 140 years' experience in the manufacturing of components for a wide range of projects  in the nuclear, industrial, commercial and specials.

In its recently refurbished 60,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility the introduction of Lean Manufacturing techniques have enabled the company to reduce lead times and improve quality. The factory contains all the machinery one would expect to find in a modern fabrication plant and it also has full coverage with overhead cranes of 5 tonne SLW.

Components are manufactured from a wide range of base metals including stainless steel, carbon steel and aluminium, complying with the standard ductwork specification of DW 144 to high integrity nuclear specifications NF154/1/2 & 3 and ES_0_1721, 1722 &1723 parts 2&3.

Hargreaves also operates a chain of retail outlets (known as Trade Counters) throughout the United Kingdom. The purpose of this business is to service the demand from companies within the building industry for general and/or bespoke ventilation products.
