Fabric ducting

(54)

Fabric / textile ducting is an alternative to traditional steel or aluminium ductwork. Read More

Fabric ducting was developed as a draught-free air distribution system. It suits applications with a hygiene requirement, such as industrial or laboratory environments, or where the indoor air has to be stable, such as sports halls.

Permeable duct fabrics can be used to avoid condensation problems. Supply air leaks through the surface area of fabric ducts. Even with high temperature differences, condensation will not settle on textile ducts during cooling operations.

Non-permeable duct fabrics can be used when the temperature of the supply air is above the dew point. The air does not escape through the material, and can be directed through perforations or down into the occupied zone via nozzles.

Fabric ducts are lightweight, reducing load on the structure from which they are suspended. They also generate lower noise than conventional systems and can be easily cleaned.
