Fabric ducting has a long tradition within the food industry and it remains one of our major markets in the UK.
The high cooling loads required in a typical food production area usually lead to quite wide temperature differences (Air on to Room Temperature Difference of 8-10ok?t usually) in order to keep air handling plant to a sensible size – this results in high volumes of very cold air entering the room. It is vital to maintain a low air velocity in the room air movement so that this cold air doesn’t make people ill or uncomfortable, this is really only achievable with Fabric Ducting, due to the high diffusion area of fabric installed within the production space.
Because we offer fabric ducting in a variety of shapes and sizes and it’s all made to order we can tailor the ducting to the precise requirements of the project. Half round ducts mounted on the ceiling take up less space and absorb less light, creating less shadow for example. Prihoda Fabric Ducts are easy to demount and clean and simply slide back into the rails and zip up for re-installation.
Because room air quality is important we offer our premium material with Flame Retardant protection as well as Anti-microbial protection (impregnated with silver) and our material is non fibre shedding – cleanroom quality (to ISO4 standard), meaning our ducts will kill bacteria that come into contact with the material AND will not themselves shed any fibres to contaminate the air supply being delivered into the room.
