Frese has won a contract to supply 600 thermal interface units and 930 MODULA Compact bypass units to the prestigious Principal Place project in London.
Principal Place is a 600,000sqft mixed use development comprising of various multi-storey buildings of which the tallest will be 51 storeys high. The complex is to include, office space, residential dwellings, a hotel, restaurants, bars and leisure units.
To provide instantaneous generation of domestic hot water and the supply of indirect secondary heating circuit, Frese is supplying the recently BESA standard approved Aquaheat Twin Plate heat interface unit (HIU) and Single Plate Cooling Interface Unit (CIU) for cooling.
Electronically controlled for responsive and precise temperature control, the unit provides hydraulic separation between the domestic water, space heating circuits and the primary low temperature heating system via a pair of stainless steel copper brazed plate heat exchangers.
The MODULA Compact bypass unit was chosen to provide terminal unit isolation and flushing in addition to flow and temperature control for the secondary side heating and cooling coils. The compact design of the bypass unit allows it to be directly mounted to the fan coil unit above the drip tray.
It will be supplied with the Frese Optima Compact PICV and metering station as standard and solder union fittings on the flow and return connections as an addition to allow for easy installation to the fancoil tail pipes.
